Easy Copywriting Tweak to Grow Your Lead Bookings
Agency Tip #1 - Easy Copywriting Tweak to Grow Your Lead Bookings
Matt Ackerson here, founder of Growbo.com.
I’ve been working with agencies for over a decade and repeatedly hear the same problem: they can’t convert enough people to book a consultation.
So, I decided to make a video detailing the number one way agencies can attract and convert more clients, leading to booked consultations. Have a watch and then read the rest of the article below to learn more.

You want to grow your agency's revenue and profits, of course. But there's a lot of info out there and you might be wondering if these emails are worth your time.
What I can tell you is this: when we started our agency in 2010, with limited resources (like really limited, like $210 in the bank limited) I figured out how to grow the company from $0 to $130,000 in revenue in 10 months.
Then crashed and burned for a while.
Then regrouped, and grew the agency (much more sustainably this time) to over $300,000 in annual revenue.
And last year, having proudly served over 3,000 companies our agency-focused service brought in over $1,000,000 in revenue.
But enough about me / Growbo.com, let's talk about how YOU can use some of the bite-size tips, strategies, and tactics I'm sending you here to grow your revenue.
Problem: one of the top reasons agency growth stalls or declines is a lack of lead volume. Simply put: you need more booked calls.
So, what's holds leads back from contacting you? Or requesting a quote?
After all, providing an assessment and/or a consultation is considered a best practice among professional service firms, according to a global survey from Hinge Marketing (I'm mean, obviously).
But what isn't obvious is why more people don't book a call. Instead, they quietly float off your website, most never to be seen again...
The reason is that your agency's landing page copy might focus too much on the hardsell...
And / or, you need to do a better job of alleviating any fear or perception of risk.
How to do that?
Well you can introduce a cool and subtle risk-reversal.
For example, it can be as simple as changing some text on your CTA button (which we did and it works) “Book a Call — No Hard-sell ” (see image below)
This also works because it sets the tone for the call being something of value / client-focused rather than the client coming into the call in a defensive—"they're going to try to sell me something and IDK if I want it, all I want is info!"—posture.
I could tell you I've "sold $1,000,000's" in products and services and that would be a true statement.
But, the deeper truth is the reason I (and our great team) have been able to do this is because we let our clients and customers sell themselves. We focus on listening and understanding what a client wants from the call and giving info that plug into the needs they express. If it aligns with what we're offering? Great.

That's it, and that's part of the reason this easy to implement tactic of "no hard-sell" can help incrementally grow your bookings, and by extension your sales.
And you can build on this tactic with some additional copy like: “Here are exactly the benefits you get from booking a call with us..."
